In a radical departure for the composer, winner of a 1995 NEA Composers Fellowship for contemporary music, Fear No Love features fierce groove-based dance songs. A Country Doctor (カフカ 田舎医者, Kafuka) is a 2007 anime film directed by Koji Yamamura. The film is a direct interpretation of Franz Kafka's short story "A Country Doctor." The film has won several awards, including the 2008 Ofuji Noburo Award from the Mainichi Film Concours. It was also included in the Animation Show of Shows in 2008.
