Naked City was an avant-garde music group led by saxophonist and composer John Zorn. Active primarily in New York City in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Naked City was initiated by Zorn as a "composition workshop" to test the limits of composition (and improvisation) in a traditional rock band lineup. Its music incorporated recognizable elements of jazz, grindcore, surf music, classical music, heavy metal, country music, punk rock and literally dozens of other music genres.
In Naked City's characteristic early style, songs were often performed at astonishingly fast tempi (drawing heavily on thrash metal and hardcore punk's emphasis on extreme speed). Many songs were quite brief, and typically switched musical genres every few measures, perhaps comparable to spinning a radio dial at random and hearing the same band performing on every station...

Leading up to New Year the lives of several individuals are intertwined through a tragic series of events. Piksi, a former soccer player and now owner of a bar, falls in love with Una, arebel without a cause, 19-year-old kid who, during the celebration of New Year’s Eve, is just toying with him. After this party came to an end, we see that Pikis and Una do not speak the same language. They don’t belong to the same world. As for Una, it was just plain good fun in a club, for Piksi it was something else, a beginning of a long relationship that could easily end with marriage. When these worlds collide, all close around them will die and one car crash solves everything.

Early recordings were a krautrock-influenced blend of rhythmic guitar, keyboards and percussion, with Cuckston’s eerie vocals and lyrics dealing with depression, loneliness and the dark side of childhood.

Časopis „Vidici" mu 1969. objavljuje prvu knjigu pripovedaka „Bugarska baraka", na koju oštro reaguju Savićevi zemljaci, Raščani, smatrajući da je ona tipičan primer „crne proze", u kojoj se „zlonamerno prikazuje naša stvarnost". Posle dvadeset godina „Bugarska baraka" ove jeseni ponovo izlazi u „Radovoj" ediciji „Reč i misao". Danas se Saviću priče iz „Bugarske barake" čine kao bajke, iako su „prljavo idealističke do nepodnošljivosti"

Unlike in his other projects, he experiments with a lot different sounds and ideas that partly barely have anything to do with “rock” at all. Puscifer is “as much a clothing line as it is a band”, and Maynard James Keenan has described it as “Simply a playground for the various voices in my head, it’s a space with no clear or discernible goals. It’s where my Id, Ego, and Anima all come together to exchange cookie recipes.”
