One of the first Romanian writers of science fiction, Vladimir Colin was also an important representative of Jewish culture in Romania. Among his most important works is 'Legends from Vamland', where he blends together Romanian legends and myths with those of cultures throughout the world. It is a beautiful story dealing with the continual struggle of human beings against fear. In this science-fiction work of fantasy, the author portrays the spiritual life of an imaginary people from an imaginary land.

Žori-Karl Hajsmans ( Charles-Marie-Georges Huysmans,) francuski pisac druge polovine devetnaestog veka.

Rođen je u Parizu. Hajsmans je započeo svoju književnu karijeru kao naturalistički pisac sa tekstovima kao što su Marthe, Histoire d'une fille (1876). Njegov roman Protiv prirode (À rebours) (1884), ima samo jedan lik, estetu Eseinta, prekida sa naturalizmom i postaje je potpuno primer "dekadentne" literature.

Lord of the Flies is a novel by Nobel Prize-winning English author William Golding about a group of British boys stuck on an uninhabited island who try to govern themselves, with disastrous results. Its stances on the already-controversial subjects of human nature and individual welfare versus the common good earned it position 68 on the American Library Association’s list of the 100 most frequently challenged books of 1990–1999. In 2005 the novel was chosen  as one of the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to 2005.

Gospodar muva je roman britanskog pisca Vilijama Goldinga ), koji je izašao 1954. godine. Gospodar muva je priča o grupi engleskih učenika, koji se posle avionske nesreće nalaze na pustom ostrvu bez odraslih. U početku vlada razumevanje između dece, ali se odnosi brzo pretvaraju u svađu. Situacija se pogoršava i prelepo ostrvo postaje pakao.

A father says goodbye to his young daughter and leaves. As the wide Dutch landscapes live through their seasons so the girl lives through hers. She becomes a young woman, has a family and in time she becomes old, yet within her there is always a deep longing for her father. The story can be seen as a metaphor. The father leaving on a boat signifies his death and the images of the daughter watching for him to come back is signifying her always thinking about him throughout her life. Towards the end when the now elderly daughter begins to travel through the overgrown, dried up riverbed is supposed to explain that she has died and is now travelling in the afterlife to see her father once again.

Idiot Flesh was a talented and musically discordant band blending by a wide array of influences ranging from funk to prog rock and heavy metal as well as aspects of Eastern European Folk, Opera & Butoh dance performances. Formed in Oakland, California, USA in 1985 under the name Acid Rain with the demo album “We Were All Very Worried.” They eventually changed their name to Idiot Flesh prior to the release of their first album in 1990. After Idiot Flesh disbanded in the late 90’s, lead singer Nils Frykdahl and bassist/producer Dan Rathbun later formed Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.

Rose Colored Monster was Maruos debut work. He was 26 when he released it. Stories vary from sad romances to outright scat drawings and then switches to a class abuse story. The opening story is called "Das Kabinett Des Dr. Caligari" or in English "The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari". It's worthwhile to mention that this is actually an tribute to a German silent expressionist film from the late 20s that went by the same way.

Solanin is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Inio Asano. It was serialised in Shogakukan's Weekly Young Sunday from 2005 to 2006. Meiko and Taneda graduated from university two years ago. Having no real goals or direction, they step into society, clueless. Meiko works as an Office Lady to pay the rent for her apartment, while Taneda works as an illustrator in a press company, earning just enough to take some of Meiko's burden. Unhappy with the rhythm of their "normal" graduate lives, things change when two important decisions are made: Meiko decides to quit her job, and Taneda decides to devote time to write his first proper song for the band.
